Cafe 639 - 639 Rathdowne St, Carlton North

This place serves brekky all day, and has outdoor seating - so is doggy friendly, which we like. There are 2 little "deacks" for want of a better word on either side of the front door, with one table on each one, which is nice if you can get a spot there - outside without being on the footpath. The food was ok - it has an Italian influence. I had the French Toast with maple syrup, which was very filling if not fabulous, and darling had the sicilian breakfast frittatta, which involved, eggs, potato, tomato and mushrooms among other veggies - that was pretty good. The waiters were friendly to our doggy although there was no water bowl for him. I have to say my experience was slightly spoiled by an arrogant and annoying man who chased after the waiter to tell him off for bringing his soy latte in a glass and not a cup - get over it man!
